Dear Families and Visitors of Union High School,

 

Welcome to Union High School! Located in the heart of San Juan Capistrano and serving students across the Capistrano Unified School District, Union High School is housed in part of the historic Capistrano Union School building, dating back to 1921. As we celebrate 100 years of education, history, and culture within our walls, we, at Union celebrate all which makes UHS so unique every day.

 

Operating on the quarter system, which allows students to earn credits at a faster pace than a traditional high school, Union serves approximately 200 individuals each year, tailoring our program to meet the specific needs and goals of each student. With a staff of 25, including teachers and support staff, we proudly offer smaller class sizes and provide all core graduation requirements including elective opportunities in both culinary and visual and performing arts.

 

Some of our students opt to return to their former home school for their senior year and others choose to remain at Union to graduate on time, or in some cases, early! We hold graduation ceremonies at the end of each quarter to celebrate the achievements and successes of our students upon completing high school.

 

If you are considering Union High School, please speak with a Counselor at your current home school to discuss the application process. Following approval, our Union HS team will contact your family to schedule your orientation for the beginning of the upcoming quarter.
